Terms of use

Last updated: 14 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Chandigarh Direct Rides to book or give rides in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur. By creating an account or booking a ride, you agree to them.

1. What Chandigarh Direct does

Chandigarh Direct is a booking platform. It connects riders with independent drivers and shows the fare before you book. The ride itself is provided by the driver. We don't own the vehicles.

2. Your account and OTP login

  • You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code (OTP) sent by SMS. Keep your phone and codes to yourself. Anyone who has your phone can sign in as you.
  • Give your real name. Your driver sees your first name.
  • You must be at least 18 to hold an account. See the Privacy Policy for minors.
  • We may block an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud, or puts other people at risk.
  • You can download your data or delete your account at any time on the Account page.

3. Bookings and fares

  • Before you book, the app shows the fare for each vehicle type with a breakdown: base fare, distance, time, any minimum fare and a booking fee.
  • The fare is fixed when you book. It won't change because of traffic or the route the driver takes. If you change the destination or add a stop, that's a new booking.
  • Tolls, parking or waiting that you ask for aren't in the fare unless the app shows them. Agree them with your driver first.
  • A booking is a request. It's confirmed only when a driver accepts it and the app shows their name, vehicle and number plate.

4. Cancellations

You can cancel any time before the trip starts. Cancelling after a short free window from when a driver is assigned may carry a cancellation fee. The fee and the window depend on the vehicle type and are shown before you confirm a cancellation. See Cancellations & refunds.

5. Payment

You pay the driver directly at the end of the trip, by cash or UPI. The amount is shown on your receipt in the app. Chandigarh Direct doesn't collect payment in the app and never asks for your card, UPI PIN or OTP for a payment. Never share your UPI PIN with anyone.

6. Rider conduct

  • Be at the pickup point on time and treat your driver with respect.
  • Wear a seat belt and don't ask the driver to break traffic rules.
  • Don't carry anything illegal or dangerous. Don't damage the vehicle; you may be asked to pay for damage you cause.
  • Don't book for someone else without telling them the driver and vehicle.

7. Driver conduct

  • Drivers must hold a valid licence, registration, permit and insurance for their vehicle, and complete our verification before they can go online.
  • Drivers must charge only the fare shown in the app, follow traffic laws, and never drive under the influence.
  • Drivers must not contact riders for anything other than the trip, or keep riders' details.

8. Safety

Before you get in, check that the driver's name, vehicle and number plate match the app. In an emergency call 112. Read our safety guide for more.

9. Limitation of liability

We work to keep the app accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always work or that a driver will be available. Pickup times and routes are estimates. To the extent the law allows, Chandigarh Direct isn't liable for indirect losses such as a missed flight or appointment. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law or liability that can't legally be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it applies. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Contact

Questions or complaints go to our support team through the Help page. If a ride went wrong, you can report it there and link it to the booking.

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
